Child Advocates touches thousands of children’s lives each year. None of that would be possible without our volunteers. We always need more volunteers: male or female, all races and all ages can help our kids. In just six hours a month you can make a difference in the life of a child.
Volunteer Requirements
All prospective volunteers must be at least 21 years of age and a high school graduate. Volunteers must complete a volunteer application and submit to a criminal background check. A 30-hour volunteer training program is required before you become a volunteer advocate. Some training sessions can be completed online.

Volunteer Duties
Volunteers gather information to assist Child Advocates in the assessment of factors contributing to the acts of abuse, neglect, or delinquency as identified by the court by interviewing the children and all persons who possess relevant information about the children. The volunteer then provides Child Advocates with a written case report before a scheduled court hearing.
