On Wednesday, January 15, 2020 Indiana Chief Justice Loretta H. Rush delivered the annual State of the Judiciary in the chamber of the Indiana House of Representatives. The overarching theme of her remarks was, “Connecting, Convening, and Collaborating with our Communities.” Her speech also included an update on the outstanding work of CASA throughout the state.
“In 2016, you increased CASA funding, and you could not have done so at a better time. As a result, Indiana’s CASA programs have modernized operations, recording nearly one million hours of training and advocacy for children. Last year, over 4,500 volunteers in a record 86 counties served over 25,000 abused and neglected children.”
