Meet CASA Volunteer, Danyette Smith

Posted on February 27th, 2018

I became a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) volunteer in August of 2012 in Indianapolis, Indiana. I first became a CASA volunteer because I have a passion for kids. So many children are suffering abuse and neglect in our city and need someone to speak up for them.  Helping be that voice for them is very important to me. Becoming a CASA volunteer has allowed me to help kids understand life is more than their current situation, to love, and to know someone is there for them.

The most rewarding part of being a CASA volunteer is seeing the smiles on the children faces and the hope a CASA gives to children. I know that I’m making a difference in the life of each child I meet.

We all have the opportunity to help with a child’s life though our  voices and listen to what they have to say.

Volunteering as a CASA requires having a passion for children and being able to make sound decisions for the child’s safety. Do you love kids, can understand the importance of a child being safe in the home, and have spare time? Being a CASA volunteer is just right for you, join me! Apply Now
