Local Adoption Goes Virtual

It’s been difficult to find good news during the COVID-19 pandemic and this time of social distancing. And it’s been especially challenging for those who had a particularly special day they had been looking forward to–like an adoption hearing.

The idea of gathering together to celebrate an adoption seemed almost impossible, but yesterday proved that with technology, it was anything but impossible. In fact, this adoption gathered far more people together than it could have in a traditional setting.

Child Advocates’ Guardian ad Litem, Kimberly Iverson, was thrilled to be one of the 120 people in attendance, via Zoom, and WTHR-TV was also there to document the special occasion. Watch the story below!
